“30 Years of the Slovak Economy”–March 16 virtual lecture by Ivan Mikloś, former Slovak Finance Minister


Register now for the third event in the Slovakia@30 Lecture Series: an online conversation on “30 Years of the Slovak Economy” featuring Mr. Ivan Mikloš and Dr. Julius Horváth.

Ivan Mikloš is president of MESA 10, a Bratislava-based think tank that supports individual liberty, a free market economy, and limited government. Earlier in his career he served as finance minister and deputy prime minister of the Slovak Republic. He currently serves as an advisor to the president of the Slovak Republic on economic and finance matters.

Julius Horváth is professor of economics and business at the Central European University and is the author of A History of Slovak Economic Thought Routledge, 2022).

Slovakia@30 is a collaborative project of the Slovak American Society of Washington, D.C. (SASW), Friends of Slovakia (FOS), and the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Washington, D.C. to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Slovak independence.
