Announcement: Owen V. Johnson
The SSA is deeply saddened to hear of the sudden loss of Owen V. Johnson last weekend (August 2022). He was a seminal scholar in our field and one who touched many of our lives as an advisor and mentor but also as a friend. His advice was always practical and was usually accompanied by a humorous story about his adventures as an American scholar of Slovakia and Czechoslovakia. Zbohom, Owen. You are dearly missed!
