Fulbright Scholarship Opportunities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Deadline: August 1

Editor's note: As in the past, the Fulbright Scholarship Program invites applications for the coming scholarship cycle. The deadline is August 1, but the application is a substantial one and is aided by a well-thought out plan and contacts in-country, so a potential applicant really needs to begin now. Spots are available not only for country-experts but for those who would like to teach their own specializations to Slovakia's students (in English) so /please/ forward this application to all of your colleagues who may be interested in teaching abroad in a wonderful setting. Experience suggests that Slovakia receives fewer applications-per-opening than most European countries and that chances are thus quite strong for a well-constructed application.

Dear Slovak Studies Association Colleague,

The Fulbright Scholar Program application for 2012-2013 is now open.

This year there are several awards available to the Czech Republic, including the Fulbright-Masaryk Award (NGO Management) award and the Fulbright-Masaryk University Distinguished Chair in Social Studies (Czech Republic) award. There are also exciting awards available to the Slovak Republic, including awards in Education, Economics or Business Administration and American Studies. If you do not see an award in your discipline, you should look at the all disciplines awards, in Czech Republic, either All Disciplines (research) or All Disciplines (teaching) and in Slovak Republic, All Disciplines (research) or All Disciplines (teaching).
